Privacy Policy

1. Information processed and why

Beside Co. processes only the following information to provide ok run. There is no registration, we do not ask you to enter a name, email address, or phone number, and we do not use an advertising identifier.

• On-device running information: settings, health summaries, location and routes, run records, and notes are used to display, save, and export your records. They are not sent to a first-party server.
• Purchase-validation information: when you purchase or restore access, a random anonymous app user ID, App Store purchase history and receipt, last-seen time, device type, and operating system are used to validate and restore access, reflect refunds, prevent abuse, and understand purchase operations.

Purchase-validation information is not used for advertising, cross-app advertising tracking, or health assessment and is not combined with health, location, or running records.

2. Information stored only on your device

The following stays on your iPhone and is not sent to us:

• Tracking method, the heart-rate and time ceilings you enter, and language choice
• Start time, duration, distance, actual route, average heart rate, measured coverage, walking time, before/after feelings, and notes
• Names, distances, and paths of routes you save

You can delete an individual run from its record screen. This removes that record and route and adjusts its linked course count; a familiar loop you deliberately saved remains. Manage Running Data in Settings deletes all saved runs and personal loops at once. Deleting the app removes all on-device records and routes.

3. Purchase processor and international transfer

We use the following processor to validate and restore one-time purchase access. The transfer is necessary to perform the service contract with you.

• Recipient: RevenueCat, Inc. (Privacy Policy, compliance@revenuecat.com)
• Country: United States. RevenueCat states that customer data is stored in U.S. AWS data centers and may be handled by its published U.S.-based subprocessors.
• Data: random anonymous app user ID, Apple receipt and purchase history, last-seen time, device type, and operating system
• Timing and method: encrypted network transfer when the app purchases, restores, or refreshes access
• Purpose: purchase validation and restoration, refund or revocation updates, fraud prevention, and purchase-function analytics
• Retention: for the period needed to provide purchase access and resolve disputes. RevenueCat's published policy permits retention for the customer-account contract and up to six years afterward. If no legal obligation applies, a verified deletion request will be handled without undue delay.

You may decline this transfer by not purchasing or restoring. In that case, App Store-based full-access unlocking and restoration cannot be provided, but you can still view, delete, and export records already stored on the device. Apple processes the payment as a separate controller under the Apple Privacy Policy. We never receive or store card details.

4. Retention and deletion

• On-device records: kept until you delete an individual record, delete all running data, or delete the app, then removed from the local database without undue delay.
• Temporary location points: converted to the cleaned saved route and deleted immediately after the run is saved.
• Temporary CSV: deleted from the app cache when the iOS share sheet closes.
• Purchase-validation information: processed by RevenueCat for the period described in Section 3. Apple's statutory and transaction records follow Apple's policy.

Electronic files are deleted from the relevant storage so they are not ordinarily recoverable. If law requires retention, only the required information is separated, retained for that period, and then deleted.

5. Exporting records

Only when you request it in Settings, the app creates a CSV summary and opens the iOS share sheet. Actual route coordinates are excluded. You choose whether and where to share it. The temporary cache file is deleted when the share sheet closes.

6. Health data

The app requests read-only access to heart rate and walking/running distance for the run period. It never requests write access.

• Raw heart-rate samples are not stored. Only on-device summaries such as average heart rate, per-minute averages, measured time, and time over ceiling remain.
• Health data is never used for advertising or marketing and is not provided or sold to third parties.
• Time-only tracking still works if you decline access.

7. Location

Location is used to sort nearby routes and record the distance and actual path of a run you start. With permission, route recording can continue while the screen is locked. The cleaned route stays on the device, and temporary raw points are deleted after saving. Coordinates are not sent to our server, a place-search API, or analytics. Apple MapKit may use the network to display map tiles.

8. Notifications

The app uses one local notification per session when your own time ceiling is reached. There is no remote push server and no marketing notification.

9. Your rights and choices

You can view and correct records in the app and delete an individual run or all runs and personal loops at any time. You can withdraw Health, Location, or Notification permission in iOS Settings. Time tracking and management of existing records continue if you decline these permissions.

To request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or information about an international transfer of purchase-validation data, email hello@beside-co.com. We may request the minimum information needed to find the purchase, such as an Apple transaction ID. Unless a legal exception applies, we will respond without undue delay. Deleting purchase records may prevent automatic restoration of previously purchased access.

10. Security

• No account, first-party backend, or advertising SDK is used, minimizing external transfers.
• Health access is read-only and limited to what the feature needs; raw heart-rate samples are not stored.
• Purchase information is transmitted over encrypted connections and processed under RevenueCat's data-processing terms.
• Access to purchase services is limited to those who need it, and app and dependency changes are reviewed.

11. Children

The app is not directed to children under 14, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
